On Saturday 5th September it is Alston agricultural show. There are classes for the children to enter and lots of things to keep all of the family entertained. We know that lots of our families will be attending so have been asked to spread the word about this fantastic community event.

All SKS pupils have had a workshop today on the risks of vapes and addiction. The session covered the harmful effects of drugs on the body, and the wider dangers of addiction. 

In forest school today we learned all about bees. We tasted some honey on bread and chose to make our own bees out of pine cones, wool and pipe cleaners.

Anna told us all about bees and how they pollinate the flowers for some of the fruits we eat.

As the winning house, Blue House are enjoying their rewards trip to Fusion Trampoline Park today. 

Dancers from across SKS performed at Disney last week. Months of preperation and rehersals went into the showcase event as part of a public preformance at the famous park. 

Year 7 worked hard on their outdoor and teamwork skills across the three days of residential. Outdoor and adventurous activities!

Year 8 have embraced creativity last week, designing vibrant vegetable artwork to decorate their homemade focaccia breads. Their imaginative designs and enthusiasm in the kitchen have made this project a real highlight.
