Class Welcome

In Class 1 at Nenthead School, we have a mixed age class of Reception, Year 1 and 2. We believe all children should become independent, resilient and enthusiastic learners. We are lucky to have a fantastic outdoor area alongside our indoor learning environment which provides the children with lots of opportunities to enhance their learning. It is lovely to see the children working together in a family group in many areas of their learning journey. In Reception we believe children learn through play and our continuous provision is set up for the children to learn through their interests. We also do short led adult sessions which allow the children then to take the learning into their play.

In Year 1 and 2 the children continue with the creative learning and through a love of books we expand and stimulate the children's knowledge and understanding of subjects. It is lovely to see the children all working together on many aspects of their learning to create a family, friendly atmosphere.
