Key Stage 4 enjoyed trampolining this morning in PE. Many of the pupils mastered the seat drop, with others progressing further through more complex skills. 

Year 10 are now in the process of finalising placements for their work experience week- Monday 20th April to Friday 24th April 2026.

Deadline for organising placements is Friday 13th February to allow time for placement vetting checks to be undertaken.

Year 11 have been busily making revision resources in preparation for their mock exams. This week they have re-visited the themes, plot and characters of 'An Inspector Calls' and have tried to familiarise themselves with the SMILE acronym to help them remember what to include in a text analysis…

SKS had an assembly this afternoon providing information about careers in agriculture. 

Year 10 and Year 11 have been learning the basics of volleyball today. 

As part of our Food Science module Year 10 have been learning about aeration in cooking and how raising agents work. We have put out knowledge into practice by making whisked sponges- seeing how the mixture changes size and how the air in the mixture affects the texture and feel of the cake. 

This morning, some of our budding song writers in year 9 and 10 took part in an online composition workshop with a professional musician. They are writing a song about equality which will be performed next year. Watch this space!
