Key Stage 4 Learning

Well done to the Year 10 and 11's. This year, for the first time, we have introduced  Functional Skills for Key Stage 4 in computing so that students can work towards a national qualification.

In English this week, Year 11 have started producing some revision resources relating to the context and key characters in Jekyll and Hyde.

'The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' by Robert Louis Stevenson is a core text in GCSE English literature.

This week we've been looking at Family Members and Daily Routine. Students were asked to write a paragraph in French about what they do on a weekend with their family.

Year 10 have been studying Shakespeare's play 'Macbeth' in great detail.  As part of their learning, they have been reimagining his play in the modern day.  Think famous actors, cityscapes and even space! We look forward to seeing the final results of Macbeth reimagined.

Well, its been a busy couple of months and all students are doing really well adapting to the new group.  Year 10 students have generally settled in well and have adapted to their upper school curriculum.
