Harvest Festival
We went to the church to celebrate harvest festival. We listened to poetry and readings as well as singing our songs we have been practicing in school.
Baking bread
We have been using skills such as mixing, measuring, following instructions, pouring, kneading and shaping while baking bread. Once we got the dough ready, we shaped it to make our own bread hedgehogs.
Wheelchair basketball
Park Fell took part in Wheelchair basketball. We travelled to Nenthead on the minibus and then enjoyed moving the wheelchairs around and throwing the basketball through the hoops.
Patterns
We have been exploring patterns in maths using fingerprint painting.
Walk around school
We went on a walk around school. We looked at the shapes and features we could see around us.

We have been exploring the outdoor area.
Exploring the classroom
We have had lots of time exploring the classroom, playing in each area, working out what we enjoy.
Action Ants Trip
We went on a trip with Action Ants where we participated in an obstacle course, a low ropes adventure course, archery and cross bows, golf, and dodgeball. We had to work together in teams and find strategies to achieve activities.
PSHE - Healthy eating
In PSHE we have been learning about healthy eating. We used the shopping game to work out what we could get to encourage healthy eating. We then spoke about what a balanced diet is and used the healthy eating plate to create a healthy meal.
Literacy - Zeraffa Giraffa
We have started our new literacy book, 'Zeraffa Giraffa'. We were learning about a giraffe's habitat to think about where the journey started and showing this using watercolours.
History - Significant Explorers
We have been looking at significant explorers. We were finding out about Matthew Henson and his exploration. We talked about the equipment he used, the difficulties he faced with his journey and recognition, and how we are able to find out information about him. We then created arctic pictures to…
