We were fortunate enough to enjoy a visit to Aglionby wetlands this week where we took part in a range of activities to enhance our learning of our Science topic. We loved getting out and about in a range of habitats to take part in a scavenger hunt and were amazed to find the large variety of creatures living there. A huge thankyou to the team from Susan’s Farm for hosting us and delivering such an exciting and informative range of activities that we could enjoy despite the challenges of the weather! We can’t wait to arrange a return visit.

Some super work in science today, we have been learning about and creating habitats. It was lovely to see everyone researching using the tablets to create a fact file and explain a little more about the models we made last week, building our learning step by step using technology to help us.

We are so lucky to have had a donation of gardening supplies from Morrisons Penrith, Home Bargains and Down to Earth to help our growing endeavours. Well done to gardening club for writing such persuasive letters.

This afternoon Park Fell learnt about the frog lifecycle. Learning the names of each part. Frogspawn, tadpole, froglet and frog.

Middle Fell have been having an excellent time today experimenting with simple circuits in Science. Well done everyone it was so lovely to see you getting so hands on and immersed in your learning.
