Weaving
In Art we have enjoyed learning a new skill- weaving. We firstly mastered the technique by using paper before moving on to using a loom and wool to create fire of London inspired weavings using hot colours to represent the fire. It was not an easy skill to master and we had to show perseverance…

Middle Fell soil detectives
Today Middle Fell have become Soil Detectives! Quite a messy affair, but everyone got stuck in!
Cross Fell- sorting and classifying
Cross Fell have enjoyed using a range of simple equipment to observe a range of leaves closely. We sorted our leaves and used our books and tablets to help us to identify what they were. Great job everyone!
Celebrating stories from other cultures-Pattan's Pumpkin
As part of our literacy work we have been reading a story called Pattan’s pumpkin. It has been lovely to share a story from another culture and expand our understanding.

Claude in the City
We caught the robber! Today in the next part of our story Claude the dog helped the police to catch the robber, we learned all about questions and used them to find out what had happened. We love it when we can use drama to bring our learning to life and help us to expand our ever growing…
Habitat explorers
We really enjoyed getting outdoors this afternoon looking at different creatures in their micro habitats. Everyone was very careful with the creatures we found and had some super observations about them using our magnifying glasses to help us. Top scientists!
Curiosity Cube
Thankyou to everyone who continues to be so involved with our science project- we now have a curiosity cube so the children can get up close and examine a range of things to make them wonder.
