All students in Year 7 and 8 took part in a special STEM and careers workshop entitled 'Moo-ving through Digestion'. The workshop was delivered by Edidiong Akpan from SmartSTEMS and was supported by Digital Dairy Chain.
Students learnt all about Monogastric and Ruminant digestive systems and took part in two team based experiments to mimic the behaviour of the stomach. They were also told about different STEM careers within the British dairy sector including robotic mechanics, soil scientists and geneticists.
