On Tuesday 5th May, 17 of our Year 8 students went on a bespoke work experience day to Centre Parcs Whinfell Forest.
Students were given an overview of the Centre Parcs company along with its ethos and values, then learnt about a range of different health and safety requirements before heading out on a tour around the Centre Parcs village site. In the afternoon all our students took part in a tailor made job shadowing exercise within specific departments, led by Centre Parcs staff members. The departments were:
- Aqua Sana Forest Spa
- Housekeeping
- Guest Services
- Leisure - pool
- Sports Cafe
Thank you so much to Naomi, Roz and the fantastic staff team at Centre Parcs Whinfell for creating such a wonderful opportunity for our students. They now have a lot more knowledge and awareness of the different career roles within the company and the wider leisure and tourism sector.
The next group of Year 8 students will complete their career day at Centre Parcs on Tuesday 19th May.
