Child Friendly Westmorland and Furness Commitment

On Tuesday during their Citizenship lesson, our KS4 students took part in an active workshop led by Emma Banks- Participation and Engagement Officer with Children’s Services at Westmorland and Furness Council

Emma informed students about the new 'Child Friendly Westmorland and Furness (CFWF) Commitment', where the council is trying to reach out to hear as many children and young people’s voices (aged 7 to 17) as possible from now until the end of April.

The aim of the session was to explore children’s rights and then help students to create a greater understanding of their community, including the issues, needs and wants for their local area and to capture what their community looks like to them.
