G.C.S.E students have started preparing work for their mock exams. Learning different techniques in oil paint.
Making the Moon
We have been looking at space in Art and made moons out of paint and salt.
Paper dress design based on Our visit to the Bowes Museum.
After studying Viviene Westwood's fashion design, inspired by 17th & 18th Century fashion and the punk movement, we visited the Bowes museum to take inspiration from it portraiture exhibits. Year 8 students have created paper dresses based on their research.
Sewing machine history and mechanics.
Year 8 have been enjoying the antique sewing machines. By investigating the mechanics, they were able to apply this to modern day machines and learn how they work.
Paper Mache
Cross fell are making paper Mache hot air balloons. This ties in with the transport topic they are learning. We had allot of fun.
Flinty Fell's Mayans
Flinty have almost finished their Tiki display. They have been looking at Mayan Design to produce these sculptures.
